Brahiam Maldonado homer wins for Chattanooga Lookouts

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Brahiam Maldonado's home run leading off the 11th inning was the difference in a 6-5 Southern League baseball win for the Chattanooga Lookouts on Friday against the Montgomery Biscuits.

The Lookouts (30-32) evened the series at one game apiece.

Chattanooga starting pitcher Matt Magill worked four scoreless innings before allowing four runs in the fifth and another in the sixth.

The Lookouts erupted early, scoring three first-inning runs when Rafael Ynoa drew a leadoff walk, Blake Smith had an RBI double to left field and Kyle Russell hit a two-run homer to left. Chattanooga quickly made it 4-0 in the second inning when Nick Buss opened with a homer to right.

Game three of the five-game series is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Chris Reed (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Matt Buschmann (2-2, 3.98) scheduled for the Biscuits.
