A 22-year-old Chattanooga man accused of shooting a man to death at a Brainerd Road gas station now has a July 3 hearing on murder charges.

Stephen Hill was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning, but it was postponed.

Hill is charged with criminal homicide, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and unlicensed weapon carry in the June 1 shooting.

Gregory Watkins was shot at least 12 times while sitting in his Toyota Corolla at the Delta Express at 3410 Brainerd Road. The shots also struck Lashonda Gonzalez, but her wounds were not life-threatening.

She told police a man known as "Black Magic" shot through the window of the car and identified Hill as the suspect.
