Traffic stop leads to drug bust

A Section, Ala., man was arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop in Jackson County turned into a drug bust.

James Davis, 43, was stopped on a driving violation on County Road 100 by a narcotics unit, Sheriff Chuck Phillips wrote in a news release. Officers found methamphetamine and charged Davis with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, Phillips said.

At the time of the arrest, Davis was on probation for methamphetamine manufacture in DeKalb County, Ala. As of Wednesday afternoon, he was in custody at the Jackson County Jail.
