WHY HE WON

Watson, a senior, became only the second five-time wrestling state champion in TSSAA history this season, finishing his prep career with a record of 200 wins and 4 losses after winning the 126-pound title with a 4-0 victory in the state final. The Virginia signee also was chosen as Tennessee's D-II outstanding wrestler and was recently named the state's winner of the Dave Schultz high school Excellence Award as selected by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
