Chattanooga woman killed, infant injured in Union Co. crash

UNION COUNTY, TN -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released the name of a young mother who died in a fatal crash on a Union County highway Friday morning.

WBIR-TV in Knoxville is reporting that Alexa Stabile, 21, of Chattanooga, was driving a Ford Mustang on Hwy. 33 southwest of Maynardville when she veered into oncoming traffic and struck two other vehicles, Trooper Chris Hutchins said in a crash report.

Stabile, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed. Her infant child, who was properly restrained, was injured. The drivers of two other vehicles were also hurt, along with a passenger in one of those vehicles.
