A 23-month-old has died after being thrown from a car in an accident early Sunday morning.
According to a report filed by Tennessee Highway Patrol, the child was in a car seat, but it was not used properly.
The accident occurred along state Highway 58 North in Meigs county at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Jonathan Wyatt Henery, died on Monday at 1:17 p.m.
An adult passenger also sustained undisclosed injuries, police said. Driver Charles Henery was uninjured. Officers say the car ran into a concrete bridge railing.
Officers have requested drug and alcohol tests for Charles Henery. Criminal charges against the driver are pending, according to THP.
