Location: Just west of downtown Chattanooga, Red Bank is made up of Dayton Boulevard and the surrounding residential side streets.

Size: 6.5 square miles, all land

Population: 11,651

Founded: 1955

Government: Monty Millard is mayor. Residents elect five commissioners by popular vote. Commissioners elect one of themselves to be mayor and also choose a city manager, who serves at the commission's discretion.

Schools: Alpine Crest Elementary, Red Bank Elementary, White Oak Elementary, Red Bank Middle, Red Bank High.

Attraction: Highway projects have made Red Bank an enclave located just a few minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

Traditions: Red Bank Jubilee, Red Bank Christmas Parade

Fun fact: Red Bank has several meat-and-three options. Southern Restaurant and Lillie Mae's, on opposite ends of Dayton Boulevard, are popular choices.
