Georgia All-American safety Bacarri Rambo and starting inside linebacker Alec Ogletree have been suspended for at least the first two games of the 2012 season, according to a report Wednesday night from DawgPost.com.

The website, citing multiple sources inside the program, reported that Rambo and Ogletree violated rules that could warrant a suspension of as many as four games. There was no immediate confirmation from Georgia's athletic department, and football coach Mark Richt is not scheduled to meet with the media until after Saturday's practice, which will be the eighth spring workout.

Georgia already will be without starting cornerback Sanders Commings, who was arrested on a domestic violence/simple battery charge in January, for opening games against Buffalo and Missouri. Branden Smith, who is projected as the other starting cornerback, was arrested earlier this month for marijuana possession and is expected to be suspended for one or two games.

Should Rambo be suspended as well, it would leave safety Shawn Williams as the lone prominent member of the secondary to avoid offseason misfortune.

Rambo was suspended for last season's opener against Boise State but rebounded by amassing 55 tackles and eight interceptions, including one for a touchdown against Auburn. Ogletree missed six games last year because of a broken foot he suffered in the opener yet still managed 52 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss.

In the triple-overtime loss to Michigan State in the Outback Bowl, Ogletree tallied a career-high 13 tackles.
