The protection of human life should be of great concern to all of us.
We generally tend to nurture life, defend life, prolong life, heal life, and do whatever we can to make life good.
But unfortunately, some of us seek to end life prematurely through abortion.
So a majority of the members of the Tennessee House of Representatives this week passed a law, by a vote of 72 to 24, to discourage abortion, by requiring any doctors who perform abortions to have hospital admitting privileges in the county where an abortion is performed or in an adjacent county.
Opponents charged the House of Representatives bill is intended to make it harder to have an abortion. Obviously that is the goal.
The state Senate has not yet acted.
Human life is very precious. It is very unfortunate that the issue of purposely ending human life is even debated in our state Legislature.
Only women should be entitled to engage in the never-ending debate over their bodies, post conception.
And no, life is not precious. Man's inhumanity toward his fellow man is on display in untold ways at every turn on life's road.
ARE WE BACK IN THE 60'S AGAIN??? I THOUGHT WE WENT THROUGH THIS ONCE...SO WE HAVE A MAJORITY OF REPUBLICAN MEN CALLING THE SHOTS FOR WOMEN?? WHEN WILL THIS GARBAGE END?? THIS IS NOT RIGHT..I JUST WONDER WHAT GOVERNMENT WOULD DO IF WOMEN JUST TOOK THEIR RIGHT??I DON'T KNOW ANY MEN THAT WOULD WANT TO GO UP AGAINST 10,OOO WOMEN SEEKING AN ABORTION,,,ALONG WITH 300,000 WATCHING THEIR BACK.. YOU PEOPLE KEEP PUSHING WOMEN'S BUTTONS,,EVENTUALLY THEY WILL BE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH...WHY DOES GOVERNMENT FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TO INTERVENE IN EVERYTHING,,,,CHILL,,,,GIVE IT A BREAK..WE ALREADY BEEN HERE A COUPLE TIMES IN THIS CENTURY..BEING SENILE IN GOVERNMENT IS NOT A GOOD THING.,,,DO THEY HAVE A TEST FOR THAT??
