High school standouts of April 30

Hunter Hudson, Sequatchie County: He had a grand slam and five RBIs, stole a base and scored three runs in the Indians' 10-9 come-from-behind win over Whitwell.

Logan McDaniel, Whitwell: He had four RBIs with two hits in the Tigers' one-run loss to Sequatchie.

Zac Swartout, Notre Dame: He was 4-for-4 with five RBIs as the Irish defeated Grace Academy 11-0.

Kevin Dupree, Ooltewah: He was the winning pitcher, homered and doubled as the baseball Owls beat Red Bank 14-0 in five innings.

C.J. Horton, Lookout Valley: He had two doubles in a 3-for-4 game in the Yellow Jackets' 7-5 win over Arts & Sciences.

Michael Allen, South Pittsburg: He evened his pitching record at 2-2 and homered as the Pirates improved to 24-7 with a nine-inning 5-4 win at Franklin County.

Dylan Johnston, Bradley Central: Johnston was 2-for-2 with three RBIs as the Bears defeated Central 10-1.

Jordan Day, Rhea County: He was 2-for-2, but the Golden Eagles lost 5-0 to Sequoyah.

Taylor Baird, Ooltewah: She picked up her 21st win, striking out nine, and went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in a 9-1 softball win at McMinn County.

Abbey Anderson, GPS: She went 3-for-3 with an RBI in the Bruisers' 8-1 victory over East Hamilton.

Kelsie Clark, Baylor: She was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs in an 11-1 defeat of Marion County.

Kaitlyn Eldridge, Grace Academy: She finished 2-for-3 with a double and the RBI as Grace defeated Silverdale Baptist 1-0 in a District 5-A game.

Johnni Orozco, Tyner: He scored two goals and assisted on another as the soccer Rams edged Marion County 4-3.
