Creative Discovery Museum invites children to explore new foods

Friday, January 1, 1904

It's not every day that children get permission to do so, but Saturday will be a day to "Eat With Your Hands" at Creative Discovery Museum, 321 Chestnut St.

The liberty accompanies a sushi roll demonstration and tasting by local restaurant Sushi Nabe in the museum's Culinary Corner. Scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., the event is part of ArtsLive, a program highlighting local artistic talents, including the culinary arts.

"The goal of this series is to present our guests with new and exciting culinary experiences," said Liza Blair, the museum's arts manager. "We hope these experiences will inspire questions that spark an interest in kids trying different foods."

ArtsLive programming is included in paid admission to the museum ($11.95). For more information, call 756-2738 or visit www.cdmfun.org.
