MOBILE, Ala. -- Chattanooga's Luis Nunez and Nick Buss each drove in three runs as the Lookouts defeated the Mobile BayBears 6-1 in Southern League baseball Saturday night.
Buss, who entered the game with a .198 batting average, had three hits as the Lookouts (16-21) evened the series.
Nunez put the visitors up 3-0 in the second inning with a three-run home run to left field, which followed singles to right by Griff Erickson and Buss. Erickson and Buss had consecutive doubles to left in the fifth inning to give Chattanooga a 4-1 lead, and Buss added a two-run single to center in the seventh to make it 6-1.
Game three of the five-game series is today at 3:05 EDT. Chris Withrow (1-1, 4.29 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Derek Eitel (3-2, 3.44) listed for the BayBears.
