Funeral arrangements announced for Cleveland officer killed in the line of duty

The Cleveland Police Department has announced funeral arrangements for Officer Justin Maples, who was killed in the line of duty Sunday night.

A viewing is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home today.

The funeral is set for Thursday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Cleveland. He will be buried at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

"The Maples family, the Cleveland Police Department and supporting law enforcement agencies would love to see the commitment of the public by their presence at the viewing, funeral and on the processional route," Officer Evie West said in a news release.
