UPDATE: Police are searching for Adolph Ray “Sonny” Neal, Age 49, of Dalton, Ga. He is wanted by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office for the slaying of his wife and another relative. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Neal is urged to contact the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office at 706-278-1233, or 911.
A 9-year-old girl was the first person to find one of the dead bodies discovered this morning in a Dalton home, according to the girl’s grandfather.
Jessica Neal and Donald Shedd were found dead in a house on Green Springs Road, according to Billy Miller, Neal’s father. His daughter is 27, Miller said, and Shedd is about 70 years old.
Whitfield County Sheriff Scott Chitwood said one body was found inside the home, and the other was in a small pool house at the residence.
Miller said his granddaughter found Shedd’s body in the kitchen this morning about 7 a.m. and ran across the road to a neighbor’s home.
The neighbor, Wayne Warnack, said the little girl banged on the door of his home and said, “Somebody’s killed my Pa-paw.”
Police have not said how the two people were killed.
