Lauren, daughter of JJ and Kristy Suddeth of Rossville, was runner-up on Season 10 of "American Idol." The country singer has signed with Mercury Nashville/19 Recordings/Interscope.

The Teen Choice Awards honor the hottest teen icons in television, music, film, sports, fashion and other aspects of pop culture. The two-hour special airs live Sunday, July 22, at 8 p.m. on Fox.

"I am a big fan of the Teen Choice Awards and try to watch it every year," Lauren said. "I love that this is a show where teenagers can rally behind their favorites. I think it's super cool that I am nominated. I would love to take home a surfboard!"

Lauren is also nominated for her first major country music award. She is a nominee in the Breakthrough Video of the Year category at the CMT Music Awards for "Georgia Peaches." The live show airs Wednesday, June 6, at 8 p.m. on CMT.
