Memorial Hospital will add a new 7-story cardiac patient tower and a new entrance as part of its $318 million upgrade underway.
Memorial Hospital has announced the naming of its new pulmonary care center — part of its $318 million expansion — as the Buz Standefer Lung Center at Memorial.
The family of Standefer, who died of lung cancer in 2011, donated $1 million to the center in his memory.
The center will feature lung screening and diagnostic tools that include a digital chest X-ray, a testing lab, the latest ultrasound technology and a team of doctors and nurses to help coordinate patient care.
