A 12-year-old boy was shot in College Hill Courts this afternoon in an incident police were told was an accidental shooting.
The boy was shot around 4 p.m. and was taken to the hospital, where he is being treated for what police say is a non-life threatening injury.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, said Chattanooga Police Master Patrol Officer Nathan Hartwig.
