Chattanooga police, Crime Stoppers seek man in coin laundry theft

photo Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week Wednesday, November 14, 2012 Crime Stoppers and the Chattanooga Police Department are seeking information regarding a vandalism and theft at Maytag Coin Laundry. On September 26, 2012 approximately 12:20 a.m., a white male entered the Maytag Coin Laundry at 4011 Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN. Once inside the laundry mat, the suspect caused heavy damage to the vending machine taking food and money. He then damaged three video machines taking the money by removing the back panels from the machines. The suspect is a white male with some facial hair, wearing a dark hoodie with trim, and light colored jeans. He can be seen leaving the business in a maroon Chevy four door vehicle.

Chattanooga police and Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who broke into a Chattanooga coin laundry and stole money from several machines.

The thief broke into Maytag Coin Laundry at 4011 Brainerd Road and stole food and money from a vending machine and three video machines, police said.

He is white with some facial hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie and light-colored jeans during the robbery. Cameras show the man leaving in a maroon four-door Chevy sedan.

Anyone with information on this vandalism and theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 423-698-3333. The call is confidential and could make the tipster eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
