Creative Discovery Museum brings the outdoors in with its annual "Winter Wonders" exhibit, opening Saturday, Nov. 17. The day marks the season's "first snowfall" inside the museum.

In addition to playing in the artificial snow, guests will enjoy snow creme, snow dough, the appearance of Mr. Snow and Suzy Snowflake, and a special "Let It Snow! show in the atrium. Activities on this special Snow Day take place from noon to 4 p.m.

Also for Snow Day, children can make snowflake tortillas, enjoy a snow-painting snowstorm, participate in the Hansel and Gretel Opera performance and a skip around in the winter scarf jump-roping activity.

"Winter Wonders" activities continue through Jan. 8. The exhibit offers visitors a chance to play dress-up or curl up with a book in the cozy cottage, "make" gingerbread cookies, stroll through a winter forest, explore a wintry maze, learn about animal tracks in the snow and try ice-skating. Younger children will enjoy playing with puppets and acting out gingerbread and snow stories.
