Visitors to the Chattanooga Zoo approach the ticket hut.Chattanooga Zoo will host its 12 Days of Christmas Campaign for the Animals beginning Saturday.
The zoo will feature a different animal on its Facebook page and what he or she would like for Christmas. Guests of the zoo can bring their gifts to the Zoo Gift Shop any time during the month of December and receive a small gift in return.
"People often ask us what they can do to make a difference for the animals and the facility throughout the year," said Zoo Director Darde Long. "Little things such as canned meats, fruits and blankets are much appreciated."

Guests can watch the animals open their gifts during the zoo's annual Holiday Lights, which will take place on Dec. 14-15 and 21-22.
