Tennessee Galvanizing is planning a $2.3 million expansion of its Jasper, Tenn., facility that will create 35 manufacturing jobs, officials said Tuesday.

"We look forward to continually growing in Tennessee," David S. Ware Sr., the company's chief executive, said in a news release.

The company provides metal galvanizing, a process of coating a metal, usually iron or steel, with a protective covering of zinc.

The company has been in business for 20 years and will expand its current 23-acre location to handle a new centrifuge process and additional warehouse space.
