Hamilton County: Aunt charged in infant’s death

The aunt of an infant who died Tuesday has been charged with criminal homicide.

Jessica Fax was baby-sitting 12-week-old Elizabeth Mia Fry at 5909 Fort Sumter Drive when Fry sustained multiple skull fractures and died from the injuries, Hamilton County sheriff’s spokesperson Janice Atkinson said.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Atkinson said the facts and circumstances surrounding Elizabeth’s death led to the charge.

Fax was arrested Wednesday and booked at the Hamilton County Jail.
