Area203 Digital gave a $100,000 check this morning to the Hamilton County STEM school during a grand opening celebration.

The stem school has a focus on science, technology, engineering and math.

The school's lobby will be named for local entrepreneur and Area203 founder Carey V. Brown, according to a news release.

The county's STEM school has 75 students, with enrollment expected to be about 300 by 2017.

Tennessee Deputy Gov. Claude Ramsey was on hand for the celebration.

"I hope other businesses across the state follow AREA203's lead and take a vested interest in the future of Tennessee's youth," he said in the news release.
