As expected, East Carolina University announced this afternoon the hiring of Beth Keylon-Randolph as its head softball coach. She resigned the same position at Chattanooga State Community College last Friday so she officially could be offered the job in Greenville, N.C.

Keylon-Randolph was 602-118 in 11 seasons with the Lady Tigers, after serving as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Tennessee Tech, and a pitching coach at both South Carolina and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her final Chattanooga State team went 62-5 and won the NJCAA Division I national championship.

"Coach Keylon-Randolph's national championship last season is impressive," ECU athletic director Terry Holland said in the school's announcement, "but even more noteworthy is the fact that her teams have consistently ranked in the Top Ten for over a decade."
