Baylor, GPS reach final four

Both the Baylor and GPS soccer teams sealed their spots in the Division II-AA state final four with wins Friday.

Baylor's Lady Red Raiders defeated Brentwood Academy 5-0, while the Bruisers beat Pope John Paul II 2-0 with goals from Izzy Phillips and Lyndsay Rufolo.

Akia Harris and Josie Love Roebuck combined for an assist and Keyle Snyder had the other for GPS (13-1-2).

For Baylor (11-3-1), Hagan Harman scored two goals, while Gracey Prater had a goal and two assists. Maggie Crumbliss and Rachel Payne had the other Baylor goals while Marci Carter and Brittany Reid had assists. Analiese Smith and Zoey Young combined for the shutout.
