Barons overcome Chattanooga Lookouts, 3-1

HOOVER, Ala. — The Birmingham Barons scored three runs in the third inning on hits by Miguel Gonzalez, Andy Gonzalez and Erik Morrison, and the Barons won despite being outhit 8-5 by the Southern League's North Dvision second-half champions.

Nick Buss was 2-for-4 for Chattanooga.

Game four of a five-game series at Hoover, Ala., is today at 5 p.m. EDT. Zach Lee (3-3, 4.68 ERA) is scheduled to start on the mound for the Lookouts, with Jacob Petricka (3-2, 4.78) scheduled for the Barons.
