Suspect in fatal Nashville bar shooting in custody

NASHVILLE - Police say a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at a Nashville bar is in custody.

According to WTVF-TV, 49-year-old Phillip D. Morton turned himself in to police Saturday afternoon.

Morton is accused of shooting 29-year-old Keith Gaston of Yazoo City, Miss. Police said Morton shot Gaston while he was sitting on a stool, then walked out of the bar.

Police have not released a motive in the shooting. Morton was being held on $350,000 bond.
