Auditions Saturday for Lee Children's Chorale

Students in grades 4-6, who reside in the Cleveland, Tenn., area, are invited to audition for the Lee University Children's Chorale.

Auditions will be held noon-2 p.m. Saturday in the Curtsinger Music Building, Room 118, on the Lee University campus. Auditions will continue Monday, Sept. 10, 5:30-7 p.m., in the Humanities Building, Room 111, on campus.

Lee University Children's Chorale is a community choir that focuses on vocal development, musical training and performance. The program is led by new director Joy Gibbons.

Gibbons asks that students be prepared to sing a familiar song of their choice. Students who were members of the chorale in previous semesters must also attend a registration/audition session.

Chorale tuition is $100 for the semester, and parents are responsible for purchasing a uniform.

Rehearsals will begin Monday, Sept. 17, 5:30-7 p.m., in Room 111 of the Humanities Building.

Parents may schedule an audition by calling the Lee University Department of Vocal Music, 423-614-8256.
