Mocs up 21-0 at half

Jacob Huesman threw two touchdown passes, including one to fellow quarterback Terrell Robinson, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team cruised to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter against Glenville State tonight at Finley Stadium. The dominance continued in the second quarter, but the score remaining 21-0 at the half.

The Mocs had a 21-play, 97-yard drive in the second quarter that came up empty on fourth-and-goal at the Glenville State 1-yard line.

Huesman hit Robinson for a 44-yard score on UTC's opening drive, which began at the Pioneer 49 after the Mocs recovered a fumble. Huesman connected with tight end Faysal Shafaat for a 10-yard touchdown to make it 14-0. Keon Williams scored on a 1-yard run for a 21-0 lead.

UTC had 246 yards of offense in the half, led by Huesman's 7 of 10 passing for 110 yards.

Defensively, UTC held the Pioneers to 36 yards in the half. Glenville State came into the game ranked No. 14 in Division II in total offense with 518.5 yards per game and in No. 19 in scoring at 43.5 points a game.
