A Bradley county man has been arrested on charges of stealing $260,000 worth of equipment and gutting electrical wiring from a house.

Myrtie Franklin Keith III, 32, was arrested this morning, and police are still looking for his 37-year-old cousin Keith Clark, said Bob Gault, a Bradley County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Both men are suspects in one of the largest thefts in years within the county, Gault said in a news release, by stealing a $30,000 power generator, two heating and air conditioning units and stripping the electrical wire from the walls of an unoccupied home.

Keith, who is being held in Bradley County Jail, has been charged with theft over $250,000, a class A felony under recent legislation, Gault said. Clark is wanted for the same charge and officers are offering a reward up to $250 for information leading to his arrest.

Clark is described as a white balding male. He has several Chattanooga and Bradley County addresses and could be driving a mid-'90s GMC or a Chevrolet pickup truck.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Bradley County Sheriff at 423-728-7336.
