Chattanooga City Council voting on stormwater authority setup

The City Council will be voting tonight on spending up to $250,000 to help create the new sewer and stormwater authority.

The council heard from Mayor Ron Littlefield today about how the money would be used to hire attorneys to help draft up the new Moccasin Bend Cleanwater Authority's bylaws. He said within months the authority should be operating separately from city government under the direction of interim director Bill Payne.
