UPDATE: Chattanooga police identify victim of fatal shooting this morning

Update: Police have identified the victim from this morning’s shooting as Desmond McClure.

A 28-year-old man is dead in Chattanooga this morning after being shot multiple times, police say.

Police found the victim at about 2:45 a.m. at 2510 E Main Street in a parking lot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives believe that this was not a random shooting.

Detectives are still working the case and ask that anyone with information about the shooting call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.

At this time, there is no evidence that the shooting was gang related.
