Four area gospel groups will come together Friday, April 5, in a benefit concert for a fellow singer.

Tracy Stuffle, who sings bass with the nationally known group The Perrys, suffered a stroke Jan. 21 and has been in intensive care in a Nashville hospital since then.

Stuffle turned 47 on March 20. Wife Libbi Perry Stuffle, who sings alto with the group, posts updates about his condition at

Friday's concert will feature The Greesons from Chickamauga, Ga., Voices Won from Dalton, Ga., Testimony from Chattanooga and The Hullender Family from Ringgold, Ga. Roger Chapman will serve as emcee.

Start time is 7 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center, 10052 N. Highway 27, Rock Spring, Ga. A love offering will taken during the concert.

"Every cent raised this evening will go to Tracy and Libbi to help relieve some of their massive medical expenses," organizers said in a news release.

During the medical crisis, the group is using substitute singers to fulfill its tour obligations. The Perrys are scheduled to perform during the Friday night gospel kickoff of the 1890s Days Jamboree in Ringgold on Memorial Day weekend.
