THINGS I WISH MY KIDS WOULD ASK ME
Editor's note: Barry Courter has a 24-year-old son who is a college graduate and a 19-year-old daughter who is a freshman in college.
Q: Dad, I need to make out my class schedule for next year. Any advice?
A: Never take accounting and statistics in the same semester. Ask other students about which classes and teachers are the most demanding and the ones that should be avoided. Avoid 8 a.m. and late-afternoon classes, because those are easy to skip. Also, take things that will lead to an early graduation.
