• Thrive 2055 Input Incubators from 5 to 8 p.m. each night, these open houses will present 3D aerial tour of the region and solicit public ideas about needs and opportunities in the 16 counties around Chattanooga. On Monday, the meeting will be at the Tom Bevill Enrichment Center, 115 Main St. W., in Rainsville, Ala. On Tuesday, the meeting will be at the Southeast Tennessee Trade & Conference Center, 122 Regional Park Drive in Athens, Tenn. On Wednesday, the meeting will be at Chattanooga Public Library, 1001 Broad St. On Thursday, the meeting will be at The Colonnade: 264 Catoosa Circle in Ringgold, Georgia. • Government Contracting Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at The INCubator, 100 Cherokee Blvd. PTA 101 and 102 cover basic and advanced government contracting. This free workshop is hosted by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center. Call 423-765-8668 for more information.

• MidTown Council Meeting from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday at Out of the Blue Café, 3230 Brainerd Road. Jerry Redman of Second Life of Chattanooga will speak. Meetings cost $10.

• Doing Business with EMJ Corp. from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga, 730 E. M.L. King Blvd. EMJ has been awarded a contract for the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport expansion. Women and minority construction contractors who are interested in learning the ins and outs of subcontracting with EMJ are invited to attend.

• East Ridge Council Community Coffee from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Best Western Plus, 6710 Ringgold Road

• Small Business Orientation from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at The INCubator, 100 Cherokee Blvd. The counselor discusses basic business planning including financial projections and legal entity. Hosted by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center, this event is free and open to the public. Call 423-756-8668 to register
