Chattanooga police investigating two weekend shootings

Chattanooga police are investigating two shootings this weekend.

At 9:44 p.m. last night, Corey Gillespie, 37, was reportedly shot by a suspect in the parking lot of 1101 Arlington Avenue.

At 3:18 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at 1526 Dodds Avenue where they found the victim, Darrell Martin, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. It was reported that a suspect attempted to rob Martin when a struggle ensued and Martin was shot. The suspect was described as a black man approximately 20-25 years-old.

The victims in both shootings were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
