Huntsville edges Lookouts again, 5-4

Yasiel Puig opened the bottom of the ninth inning with a home run to left field Saturday night at AT&T Field, but the Chattanooga Lookouts couldn't add to it in a 5-4 loss to Huntsville.

Jason Rogers, Kentrail Davis and Brock Kjeldgaard combined for seven hits and four RBIs as the Stars won for the second time in as many nights. A crowd of 4,622 attended Saturday's game.

The Stars built a 5-1 lead before pinch-hitter C.J. Retherford hit a two-run double in the eighth inning to pull the Lookouts within two. Starting pitcher Chris Reed took the loss for Chattanooga, which has given up 22 hits through its first two games.

Huntsville and Chattanooga are scheduled to play two seven-inning games this afternoon, with the first game starting at 2:15. Andres Santiago is the scheduled starting pitcher in the opener for the Lookouts, with Ariel Pena scheduled for the Stars.
