License renewal Kiosk installed at Bonny Oaks tag and title office

Residents seeking to renew their drivers licenses or state ID cards now have a high-tech option that may save them some time.

County Clerk Bill Knowles announced Monday an automated license renewal kiosk is now online at the county tag and title office on Bonny Oaks.

The touch-screen kiosk is equipped with a camera and can quickly aid residents who need to renew identification cards.

Residents will receive temporary licenses immediately from the machine, and permanent licenses will be mailed to them, Knowles said.

The machine cannot renew or issue firearm permits or commercial drivers licenses.
