A Chattanooga couple has won $1 million in the Tennessee Lottery, according to a news release.
Charles Sells and his fiancée bought a Millionaire Jumbo Bucks ticket at a Sunshine Food Mart on Rossville Boulevard in Chattanooga and won $100. The pair decided to take $20 of their winnings and buy a second ticket. They won another $100. Trying their luck a third time, the couple bought another ticket and again won $100.
Deciding their winning streak was just too good to quit, the couple purchased a fourth ticket, the Tennessee Lottery Black, and won $1 million.
"We couldn't believe it," Sells said. "It's unreal."
The couple hopes to buy a home with their winnings and invest the rest in a savings fund, the release said.
