Scenic City Roots at Track 29

Folk rocker Scott Miller, left, along with The Whiskey Gentry, Roger Alan Wade and The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will be featured on April 11 in the next installment of Scenic City Roots at Track 29, 1400 Market St.

Jim Lauderdale hosts this two-hour musical variety show, which revives the legacy of live musical radio production. The show airs live from 7 to 9 p.m. on WPLZ-FM Hippie Radio 106.9, and segments with each artist will be broadcast on WTCI public television Channel 45 on subsequent Thursday nights at 9.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the partially seated show. Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 students with student ID (youths under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). For tickets, call 423-521-2929 or visit www.track29.co.
