A 50-year-old mother faces a few counts of aggravated assault after she reportedly pulled a gun inside a Wal-Mart after another woman scolded her son for backing an electric wheelchair into the woman's 5-year-old daughter, according to a Chattanooga police report.

Darnita M. Bibbs, of Chattanooga, had a bond set at $22,000 for the charges including unlawful posession of a weapon and three counts of reckless endangerment.

The 26-year-old woman, Sandra Courtney, took her daughter and left the store at 2020 Gunbarrel Road at 9:18 p.m. Thursday.

Bibbs reportedly followed her to the parking lot and waved a silver handgun at Courtney and her children, which included another child - a 7-year-old boy - while they were in the car.

Bibbs "followed me around three parking lots threatening to shoot me waving an all silver colored gun out the window. She also tried many times to T-bone us or trap us in the with her car and run me off the road," Courtney told a Chattanooga officer.

A couple of other other witnesses confirmed parts of Coutney's story.

Police found that Bibbs did not have a valid gun license.

Bibbs is scheduled to go before General Sessions Court Judge David Bales May 1.
