about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

HIDDEN AGENDA

Sure, Clay has Obama batting right handed, but our pointy headed tea bagging friends will be yapping about him really being a lefty.

Which is false. Margaret Thatcher was more liberal than our President.

Like Casey always said, 'You could look it up.'

$1.1 TRILLION in new taxes on Banks, Airlines, Gas, and Cigarettes will impact every American not just Barry's so called well off and well connected. Obama's new budget is simply a continuation of his Marxist inspired dream to transform this once great country into a Western Euro Trash welfare state providing mediocrity for all except the ruling class and the elitist few. Also, if you are like me with well over $3 million in my tax deferred accounts, Obama wants to tell YOU how much you can put into those accounts because HE knows how much you actually need to retire on. You suckers that voted for Barry The Welfare pimp need a high and tight brushback fastball just like Barry does. His budget, like his gun control PR attack using victims as props will not go anywhere in Congress. Remember, an election is just around the corner!

If the GOP had any sense at all (of course, GOP and sense in the same sentence is an oxymoron) they would take Obama's budget proposal and treat it like a gift on a silver platter. They would come out smelling like a rose garden from it. Not only could they lay claim to getting Obama to cave on entitlement cuts, they would also be seen - finally - as acting like adults and trying to bridge the divide. But by refusing it, as they most assuredly will, they will only further convince people of how they are driven more by hatred for Obama than for a desire to actually be productive and do something for the good of the country. Not that this budget proposal will actually accomplish what it's intended to do, but at least the GOP could be seen as finally trying to get something done.

Yes, an election is just around the corner and the GOP is only putting more nails in its coffin by continuing on its same course of being rigid and stupidly stubborn instead of flexible and pragmatic.

The Republican Socialist Party has been throwing strikes right over the plate for four years. Obama has just stood there and watched bemused. If he can get out of the way of the beanball pitch it might just startle him enough to turn and crack the catcher over the head with the bat. They certainly deserve it.

But I'm not holding my breath he'll duck.

I looked it up.

As with Casey, when you looked it up it usually proved to be a little less than the whole truth.

Thatcher was dedicated to privatizing as many government functions as she possibly could. The National Health Service turned out to be one she could not convert but it was not for her lack of trying. The only real change that was brought about was the National Health Service and Community Care Act of 1990.

Paul Ryan would be a much closer match for her actions than Barack Obama and they’re both probably very proud that it is that way.

Isn't it hilarious to watch the Republican cheerleaders do the Tango.

Whenever they propose to reduce the growth in spending when it comes for social programs, it's called reducing the growth.

When a Democratic President is proposing the same doggone thing, it's called cuts in social spending.

It would be comical if it wasn't so predictable.

Paul Ryan is proposing to slow the growth in spending in his budget proposal, but it is Obama who is proposing spending cuts.

Some of you are becoming totally pathetic.

The man is on trial for murdering seven live children...not for seven failed abortions. It is not a major story because it isn't local to our area.

And just in case you didn't know it, for as much as you believe that it is a "major news story," I just hit all the major national sites, and not one word can be found of the trial.

Huffington Post, NBC Philadelphia, and a handful of secondary news sites have references to it, but no cartoons can be found.

How is that last part about football "apparent"? Because you made it up in your mind? LMFAO!

The cartoon is depicting President Obama in the same era as Jackie Robinson (notice the old-style catchers mask). The "44" is a reference to the new movie "42". Batting helmets weren't made mandatory in Major League Baseball until the 1970's.

Comedy isn't your thing. It only serves to make you look silly.

Quite frankly, I've not read one word as to the race of the victims involved. Are you possibly making that assumption because the abortion clinic served those who were poor?

Typical conservative assumption, if so.

I don't make any decisions as to what is considered big news or not. This nation, at any given moment, has hundreds of murder trials currently being heard in courts all across the land, some involving babies. Very few of these make the national news.

Just last week, a woman in Rockford, Illinois was convicted of giving birth to a newborn child, then putting it in a bag and placing it on the side of road, where it was discovered frozen to death. An abandoned car belonging to her had the corpses of two other newborns stashed beneath the spare tire in the trunk.

You may or may not have read about that one, for it too did was not front page news, nor was there a cartoon crafted by a soul.

There are those of you who believe that because this one in particular involves an abortionist, that it deserves top billing.

Fox News and Matt Drudge are usually all over stuff like that, and neither one of them has so much as a blurb today.

Perhaps in the coming days, it will become news. I don't expect that ANYONE will publish a cartoon about it.

Not sure bout this one but maybe Easy and Clay should steer clear of baseball..Jackie Robinson never played for the Cubs and never wore 44. The two most famous, in my opinion, were Hank Aaron and Willie McCovey...neither played for the Cubs.

And while mandatory in 1971 players who were grandfathered in still had the choice to wear.

April 13, 2013 at 10:48 p.m.

The Intern’s infamous thin skin makes any comparison with Jackie Robinson laughable. The Intern perceives the very existence of an opposing team as a personal affront. The Intern is precious.

You're slow, aren't you? That isn't a Cubs logo. It's the Obama logo (check the link). Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States. Hints the use of the number 44. No one said or implied that Jackie Robinson wore number 44 or played for the Cubs.
