A Red Bank High School student is recovering at a local hospital after being wounded in what police said was a drive-by shooting late Monday night.

Red Bank Police said Teddi Robinson, 18, of Spring Valley Lane, was injured.

Officers responded to a reported incident of shots fired just before 11 p.m. Monday in the the area of Morrison Springs Road and Highway 27. Officers found a vehicle that had been struck by bullets three times as the result of an apparent drive-by shooting, the release stated.

Witnesses reported that they saw a black, 4-door sedan leaving the area area eastbound on Morrison Springs Road and turning northbound onto McCahill Road. A short time later, officers were notified of a motor vehicle crash in the 4400 block of McCahill Road, according to the release.

Responding officers found the driver suffering from a gunshot wound who apparently was the victim of a second drive-by shooting.

Anyone with information about these shootings should call the Red Bank Police Department at 423-875-0167, extension 2101.
