A 32-year-old woman faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a gun after she shot a man during a quarrel last month, according to a Chattanooga Police Department incident report.

On March 14, Anatassia Thompson reportedly held her girlfriend at gunpoint and choked her when the father of her girlfriend's children entered the apartment and separated the women.

Thompson became angered at Willie Lansden, 27, and reportedly attacked him. When he tried to push her away, she fired a shot, striking him in the arm, according to the report.

Tracey Robinson, Thompson's girlfriend, told police that Thompson was upset with her after she took a trip to Atlanta. Robinson was in the process of moving her things out of the East 49th Street apartment.

"Ms. Thompson returned and became enraged because Ms. Robinson had called Mr. Lansden for help. Robinson said that Ms. Thompson went to her bedroom and grabbed a gun and came back into the living room," the report states.

Thompson is scheduled to appear today before Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Gary Starnes.

Lansden was the 29th shooting victim this year in Chattanooga. To date in 2013, there have been 38 shootings resulting in the death or injury of 44 people in Chattanooga.
