Wake Forest associate athletic director Mike Buddie, one of three finalists for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga athletic director job, has withdrawn his name from consideration, UTC announced in a release today.

That leaves in the race Tennessee senior associate athletic director David Blackburn and former Middle Tennessee State and North Carolina State athletic director Lee Fowler. Both are Tennessee natives with vast experience in collegiate athletics in the state.

All three finalists visited campus this week. Chancellor-elect Steve Angle is expected to decide on the new AD in the next few days.
