Tennessee jobless rate rises to 7.9 percent

Tennessee’s jobless rate rose a tenth of a percent from February to March, hitting 7.9 percent, according to Tennessee Labor and Workforce Interim Commissioner Burns Phillips.

Phillips said March’s rate was the lowest March since 2008.
