PRESTON, Conn. - An out-of-control truck killed one man and injured another as they waited for a taxi in eastern Connecticut.

Lakendrick Horn of York, Ala., was declared dead at the scene in Preston early Saturday morning. He was 28.

Police said he and 48-year-old Arnold Feaster of Gales Ferry were waiting for a taxi when Juan Davila, of Griswold, tried to negotiate a turn while driving a truck. Police say he crossed a lane and struck two parked cars before hitting Horn and Feaster.

Feaster was treated for head and back injuries.

A listed phone number for Davila was not working Sunday.

The incident is being investigated.
