Susan P. Harris has been promoted to president of See Rock City, Inc., succeeding Andrew Kean who recently joined the administration of Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke.

Harris previously worked as director of human resources and organizational development for Rock City. She will be replaced in that job by Frank Davis, who is joining Rock City after serving as office administrator for the law firm of Miller & Martin in Chattanooga.

Bill Chapin, CEO and chairman of the board for See Rock City, called Harris "the logical successor and perfect choice" to head the Lookout Mountain tourist attraction.

"She's worked side by side with Andrew Kean, former president, as he reorganized our company," Chapin said.

Kean, who was named as chief operating officer for the city of Chattanooga under Mayor Berke, will take on the role of vice chairman of the board for See Rock City.

"The city of Chattanooga will be blessed with Andrew's abilities and integrity," Chapin said. "He propelled Rock City Gardens to the best performance ever by gaining market share and improving profitability."

Harris, a 20-year human resources veteran, joined the executive staff at Rock City in June 2008.
