Sit-in Sessions Court Judge Kevin Wilson has sent homicide, weapons and assault charges against a 29-year-old Chattanooga man to the grand jury.

Langdon Strickland was arrested in Atlanta on Sept. 2, nearly one month after police say he he shot and killed Darrell Lane, 29, on Tunnel Boulevard.

Wilson is the Collegedale City Judge. He sat today for Judge David Bales.

Five witnesses testified in the preliminary hearing today. Two were working nearby and saw a silver Nissan Sentra leave the scene after hearing gunshots and seeing Lane fall in a yard and die.

Prosecutor Cameron Williams called Eve Jones, who knew Strickland and loaned him her 2012 silver Nissan Sentra the day before the killing.

He had returned the car within a half hour of the alleged shooting, witnesses testified.

Jones found two bullet holes, a shell casing and evidence of a struggle in her car.

Defense attorney Bill Speek showed photos that showed a bullet may have been fired from the back seat, indicating that Lane and Strickland could have fired at each other.

Witnesses saw Lane jogging up the street before he fell in the yard. Witnesses also said they heard two volleys of gunfire.
