A Tennessee teenager who attempted to jump over a moving car was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by LifeFlight helicopter Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Pinson Lane and involved two White House Heritage High School students, White House Police Chief Pat Brady said.

An 18-year-old male driving a 1994 four-door Saturn was driving at approximately 10 miles per hour when a second 18-year-old male ran toward the car, attempting to jump on the hood, the roof, the trunk and off the back of the vehicle.

When the teen attempted to jump onto the hood, he collided with the windshield. He was thrown into the air, landing approximately 10 feet behind the car, sustaining a head injury, Brady said.
